Du-Cal DRIERITE is a special form of DRIERITE developed for drying air and the common gases. It should be used where greater absorption capacity is required than that afforded by regular DRIERITE and where requirements of chemical inertness are less severe. It is designed for use in industrial gas drying towers and DRIERITE Vent Driers.*

PROPERTIES: Du-Cal DRIERITE is anhydrous calcium sulfate impregnated with a small amount of calcium chloride to increase its absorption capacity. It does not become visibly wet through absorption, because the calcium chloride acts as a catalyst to convert the calcium sulfate hemihydrate to the dihydrate. Du-Cal DRIERITE will not shrink, expand, or disintegrate. It may be regenerated repeatedly and is economical. Du-Cal DRIERITE retains the extremely high efficiency of Regular DRIERITE with the added advantage of a large increase in capacity.

* It should be noted that Du-Cal DRIERITE should not be used for the drying of ammonia, NH3, since ammonia reacts with inorganic chlorides.
